Even when they worked, the pool had a dull look and just didn't "pop" the way it should.
With my 30 year background in engineering, I knew I could build something better, so I got to work. I started by testing some overseas solutions that were cheaper than the big brands. While they improved some aspects like using a potted design, There were still air gaps and the actual components were very low quality. The light output was uneven and cast those same shadows and poor light patterns that Pentair suffers with.
I knew we could do better. I spent the better part of a year refining my own designs using the best components available. Once I was satisfied, I placed finished units in a test tank and ran them 24/7, for thousands of hours at extreme temperatures. I wanted to be 100% sure I was providing an end to my parents nightmare of replacing pool lights every six months. I shipped the final rendition to them and the difference was even more impressive than I expected. They’ve been enjoying a perfectly lit pool ever since. Some of their friends and neighbors with the same lighting noticed the difference, so I made them their own. Fast forward a couple years and we’re hiring people just to keep up with demand.
